Carolina Bunta, LMFT born and raised in Puerto Rico, went on to get her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from Western Connecticut State University. Having worked previously with youth and families through various leadership and ministry roles, she found a passion for family systems and decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Southern Connecticut State University. Today, Carolina is a Approved Supervisor and Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and is licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT. Additionally, Carolina is a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Carolina is currently in pursuit of her Ph.D. in Psychology & Counseling with a concentration in Biblical counseling from Regent University.
Carolina, a bilingual therapist, possesses a wealth of experience in systemic therapeutic approaches. She has completed IFS level 1 and 2 training, Gottman Method Couples therapy Level 1 and Level 2 training, IFIO and Ego-state training, is certified in EMDR therapy, currently undergoing EMDRIA EMDR Consultant training, and holds certification as a Prepare/Enrich assessment trainer. Carolina's clinical perspective is deeply influenced by Post-modern frameworks.
Carolina also incorporates Faith-based practices and the integration of faith and mental health in her clinical work with clients who desire it. She is the founder and President of Love-on, Inc a faith-based non-profit organization in the state of Connecticut, which aims to bridge the gap between faith and mental health.
She specializes and enjoys working with those involved in ministry whether a couple, individual, or family member as she understand first hand the unique nature of being “in ministry" and the challenge that may surface because of the demands of trying to find a healthy harmony to marriage, family, ministry and life.
When not in session, Carolina can be found reading a book, cooking, worshiping, or spending time with her family and Paw-kids Sir Romeo and Miss Juliet.
